Introduction
Take a step back in time to October 1995. You’re a kid again and the circus has come to town! It’s been returning to the outskirts of the sleepy town of Squall’s End every October for as long as you can remember. Over the years, kids have gone missing; explained away by the police as runaways who’ve joined the circus.
But, when your little brother goes missing, you begin to realize that something evil is afoot. It is now up to you to find your brother. Will you rescue him, or become the next victim of Cirque du Mystère?

How To Play
Cirque du Mystère is based on the mysteries of an evil circus.

Pay attention to the clues and hints provided by your HUD in chat, especially at the start of the game. Take time to explore the rich and spooky environment!
This game has a MATURE rating. It is not suitable for ‘children’, however, younger avatars may play keeping in mind that there are some scary parts.
The game is full of intriguing puzzles. They have been tested thoroughly and have been rated as moderate on difficulty level. IF the player dies in the game, they get teleported to the game start.
Skip Puzzles, Regain Health and Purchase Souvenirs with Circus Coins.
If you wish to skip a puzzle in a game, you can do that by choosing to buy Circus Coins to skip puzzles and scenes. Coins can be used to buy Health Potions that help you speedily regain your health. Use coins to purchase a special memento from an array of gifts at the Souvenir Stand.
To use the coins to skip a puzzle please enter the Circus Wagon of the Act and enter the instance. When the scene has loaded, click the coins on the upper right of your HUD. You will get a pop-down that asks if you wish to skip this puzzle. If you wish to skip click yes and you will be teleported out of the puzzle and will still receive the achievement for that puzzle.
You can purchase Circus Coins at the game start. Please make sure to wear your HUD before you make a coin purchase. You can purchase a pack of 10, 25 or 50 Circus Coins for $L200, $L350 and $L500 respectively.
Tips, Tricks and Warnings!
Please give the HUD and the game surroundings time to load. There is a lot going on! That will help you see things better so you can avoid walking into walls or bumping into other players.
For fullest immersion be sure to enable sounds, setting them at a comfortable level. Ensure you are set to Shared Environments for the best lighting and effects. Removing your AO will give the best results with any animated parts of the game.
The puzzles may be challenging, so take it slow and enjoy! Also, make sure to pay attention to nearby chat for instructions and clues/hints. Keep a paper and pen/pencil close to keep notes, they will come in handy!
Don’t forget you can ask other players for help in Group Chat. Please enquire in general terms so no spoilers are disclosed to other Peas!
Throughout the game, there are instances that will damage your health. Your health will naturally restore over time but, for instant gains, Health Potions are available to purchase with Circus Coins.
Photosensitive seizure warning
A very small percentage of people may experience a seizure when exposed to certain visual images, including flashing lights or patterns. Even people who have no history of seizures or epilepsy may have an undiagnosed condition that can cause these “photosensitive epileptic seizures” while playing video games. If you experience any symptoms Immediately stop playing and consult a doctor.
There are also clowns and potentially claustrophobic scenes.
Prizes
Follow the game through to the very end. When you have successfully solved the game you will be teleported to the prize room to collect 16 exclusive prizes.
Achievements
This is an older game that awarded achievement points for a previous system. Whilst the game will continue to award these points, please understand that they are no longer in use.
