The story

In the year 2000, a quiet fishing village called Greyhaven suffered an impossible tragedy: 42 children aged 5–7 vanished overnight without a trace.

No bodies.
No witnesses.
No answers.

The case was buried and eventually forgotten

Now, 26 years later, everything unravels.

Just days after the discovery of the 8th Unknown Device around the world, a farmer finds 42 children standing in a field, holding hands in a perfect circle.

They are, allegedly, the missing children of Greyhaven.
However, they have not aged one bit.

They are immediately taken into government custody.
The media explodes. Photos leak. Stories clash.
Conspiracy theories erupt worldwide.
Are they human?
Were they taken?
Are aliens coming?

CAN I BUY HUNT OBJECTS FOR MY LAND?

Absolutely! You can find them at the MadPea Mainstore, Hunt Start, or Marketplace. You can also click on your hunt objects to receive points!

HELP! I FOUND A HUNT OBJECT, BUT IT’S NOT WORKING. WHAT DO I DO?

Before reporting a faulty hunt object, please check the following:

Make sure the object belongs to The Signal Hunt (check the hunt object chart above).

Have you muted the object owner? If so, the object won’t react to you.

Are you close enough to the hunt object? You have to be within 5m distance from the hunt object to click on it.

Are scripts allowed on the parcel you’re on? If not, please contact our Customer Support and we’ll message the owner.

Is something in front of the hunt object? An invisible prim may be covering the part you’re clicking on.

Check that with ctrl+alt+T or right-click to touch the hunt object.

HOW CAN I GET ACHIEVEMENTS FROM THIS HUNT?

All you have to do is to keep hunting! The more hunt objects you find and the more locations you visit,
the more achievements you will receive.

To check which achievements you have, visit our Player Portal.

DO I NEED THE ACCESSORIES FOR HUNTING? WHAT DO THEY DO?

They are just fun add-ons for you to have.

All that you need for hunting is the HUD.

HELP! I DON’T HAVE ACCESS / DON’T WANT TO GO TO A LOCATION THAT’S RATED ADULT. HOW CAN I AVOID THEM?

Each time you click on the TP button to get a new location you will see the location rating and can choose which ones you want to visit.

HELP! I CAN’T ENTER A LOCATION, WHAT DO I DO?

MadPea is not responsible for the locations. Anyone can buy a hunt object and rez it on their land.

If you can’t enter a region, you should contact the owner to solve the issue yourself, MadPea, unfortunately, can’t help you there.

We suggest you click on the TP button to go to a different location.

Possible reasons for not being able to enter a region:

You are banned

The region you’re trying to enter requires payment information on file

The region might be offline

You don’t have moderate or adult regions enabled

I TELEPORTED TO A REGION THAT IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE HUNT OBJECTS, BUT MY RADAR ISN’T SHOWING THEM. WHAT DO I DO?

First, check if there are scripts allowed on the parcel you’re on. If not, please contact our Customer Support and we’ll message the owner.

The hunt object might have recently died too. Use the? button for a new location.

MY RADAR IS SHOWING HUNT OBJECTS IN THE REGION, BUT I DON’T SEE THEM

It could be that the hunt object has just expired! Click on your radar, it will refresh.

Make sure that the hunt object is not above or below you. Arrows at the bottom of the radar on the compass will point up when it is above you and down when it is below you.

NO GRIEFING

The environments you are visiting do not belong to MadPea Productions. They belong to the respective landowners. Thus, do not grief their customers, visitors, members, or residents. Do not break their posted rules.

GROUP TAG RECOMMENDED

When you are playing, we would appreciate it if you wore either the MadPeas or MadPea Unlimited Group Tag.

NO LITTERING

Unless otherwise instructed to do so, do not rez or lay any objects from your inventory at any of the locations you will visit in the game.

MALFUNCTIONS

We are aware that Second Life has its own issues that we can not control, such as location logouts, reboots, or lagging and crashing. Should anything happen beyond our control that disrupts or halts the hunt, we will announce it via group notice at the first possible opportunity, providing further instructions relevant to the issue.

REFRAIN FROM BAD SPORTSMANSHIP

Do not harass other hunters or Sim owners, do not instigate conflicts, and if you get stuck, do not whine and complain in group chat. Doing any of these actions will result in the revocation of your chat rights.

GROUP DIALOGUE IS ALLOWED (and even encouraged!)

You are allowed to communicate in the group chat and help each other out. You are however NOT allowed to give out direct slurls to the hunt objects.

About the Signal Hunt

Radiating with an otherworldly glow, Hunt Tokens are the remnants of a signal that shouldn’t exist. Each token pulses with encrypted energy, seemingly alive, as if it’s trying to communicate with those who seek them.Adventurers who collect these tokens unlock deeper layers of the mystery. But beware, each one you claim draws you closer to the source of The Signal. Strange effects may follow you… an inexplicable hum in the dark, visions at the edge of perception, and that unmistakable feeling that someone.. or something…is watching.

LOCATION SETUP AND RULES

HUNT LOCATION EASY SETUP

Step 1: After unpacking, rez the item called “Landing Point” where you would like hunters to land. This will allow your land to be registered with the hunt as a location.

Step 2: Rez your tokens on your land. Please make sure you hide them where hunters can access them. If they are on a different platform or level, please make sure there is a public teleporter available.

Step 3: Get ready for hunters! Remember that the hunt begins March 1st and March 31st is the last day of the hunt.

Hunters will be able to find your tokens once every 24 hours for the tokens that last longer than a day.

HUNT LOCATION RULES

• Do not hide the objects inside cupboards or other closed items that can’t be opened by anyone! They need to be visible (when activated) and available for hunters to get close to them. While we want the hunters to search, we don’t want them frustrated.

• Please ensure the parcel where you hide your hunt object is set to public access or people will not be able to enter to find the hidden hunt objects.

• It is against the rules to make the hunters pay to enter a parcel or join a group to enter. If a location like that is reported to us, we will deactivate any hunt objects on that parcel until this issue is remedied

• Please Note: Repeated complaints about a sim or parcel using banning or security orbs excessively can result in MadPea removing that location’s ability to participate in our hunts.

• Make sure your parcel has scripts enabled FOR EVERYONE or otherwise the hunt objects and HUD will not work correctly for the hunters. Please, remember that scripts being enabled for group members (and therefore working for you) does not mean our hunters will be able to use their HUDs correctly!

• Please note that the hunt objects & packages are no copy, so be careful when rezzing. It’s often tricky on mesh surfaces and it’s good to rez a regular prim first to rez your hunt objects on. If you lose your objects due to ‘Unable to rez,’ it usually comes back to your inventory after a relog.

• Once the hunt has started, pay attention to the duration time of the hunt objects, as they will vanish after their time is up. You can check how much time is left by clicking the object; the time left will be in the menu dialog. (This information will not look correct before the hunt starts.) Your hunt object will also send you a message when it expires. This also means if you rez a hunt object and then pick it back up into your inventory, the timer has started and will continue to count down, as well as show as a registered item on your sim/parcel. Do not rez a hunt object unless you are certain you will keep it out

HOW TO USE THE FESTIVE FIASCO HUD

The TP button will send you to a new location where you can find more hunt items.

The MadPea button gives you access to settings, support, MadPea’s social links, and the SLURL to the hunt headquarters!

Click the Favorite button to favorite a sim you have enjoyed visiting.

The Inventory Button will open a window to show how many quest items you have collected.

The Stats button gives you access to your hunter stats.
Example: hunt objects collected.

The Minimize button will make the HUD shrink to a small box on the left side of your screen.

The Indicator Lights show how close you are to a Hunt Item.
The closer you are, the more lights will be lit.

The Radar Blips show you where a hunt item is located.
Your avatar is always located in the center of the Radar Screen.
Radar Blips that appear as triangles are either above (pointing up) or below (pointing down) you.

About the Calendar

Every year MadPea combines forces with 24 designer collaborators in Second Life to bring the best Advent Calendar to the grid!

Starting December 1st, you will be able to unlock a door on our calendar. Behind each door lies a special brand new product from one of 25 Second Life designers that are participating in the calendar.

The calendar comes as two versions: Wearable HUD and Decor calendar. They both work the same way: Each you can open one door and receive a Gift!

The calendar is a collaboration with 24 other designers in Second Life and we cannot offer the calendar for free to the MadPea Unlimited members.

There is a decor calendar as well as a hud calendar in the package.

How many gifts are in the calendar?

You will receive 25 gifts from MadPea and the collaborators in total.

When can I start opening doors?

Can I open doors late?

Even if you purchase the calendar on the last day of December, you will still be able to claim ALL the gifts.

The puzzles may be challenging, so take it slow and enjoy! Also, be sure to pay attention to nearby chat for instructions and clues/hints. Keep a paper and pen/pencil close to keep notes, they come in handy! Remember you can move attached puzzles by using your arrow keys on your keyboard

The hunt runs from July 28th to August 28th, but Tropical Temptations Hunt items are ready for sale now!

If you own a parcel, a sim, a store, or a club and are willing to allow public access, all you need to do is go to the Tropical Temptations Hunt Start or visit MadPea on the Marketplace.

If you’re wondering why you should get involved as a Tropical Temptations Hunt location, with up to thousands of Peas hunting, you can imagine the number of visitors to your parcel, sim, store, or club.

Tropical Tempations Hunt tokens placed out now will not activate until the hunt starts on July 28th.

LOCATION SETUP AND RULES

HUNT LOCATION EASY SETUP

Step 1: After unpacking, rez the item called “Landing Point” where you would like hunters to land. This will allow your land to be registered with the hunt as a location.

Step 2: Rez your tokens on your land. Please make sure you hide them where hunters can access them. If they are on a different platform, please make sure there is a public teleporter available.

Step 3: Get ready for hunters! Remember that the hunt begins July 28th and that August 28th is the last day of the hunt.

NOTE: Hunters will be able to find your tokens once every 24 hours for the tokens that last longer than a day.

HUNT LOCATION RULES

• Please ensure the parcel where you hide your hunt object is set to public access or people will not be able to enter to find the hidden hunt objects.

• It is against the rules to make the hunters pay to enter a parcel or join a group to enter. If a location like that is reported to us, we will deactivate any hunt objects on that parcel.

• Please Note: Repeated complaints about a sim or parcel using banning or security orbs excessively can result in MadPea removing that location’s ability to participate in our hunts.

Introduction

You really screwed up this time. The job’s gone, the bills are piling up, and that “sure win” at the tables turned into a disaster you can’t even wrap your head around. The kind of debt that doesn’t just disappear, but comes with consequences if you don’t pay up.

Out of options and time, you do the one thing you swore you never would… you call your cousin, Vince. Everyone knows he’s into shady business, the kind that gets whispered about at family gatherings, but right now? You’re desperate.
You were hoping for a quick loan, just enough to keep the wolves at bay. But instead, he hits you with something else.
“Listen,” he says, “I can’t float you, but I got an opportunity. Big one. I was supposed to be part of it, but something came up. You take my spot, we both win.”
“It’s a heist. A secret job with a fat payout, more than enough to clear your debts and set you up with a clean slate. The best part? The team doesn’t know each other. Everyone uses code names. No real names, no faces to remember. It’s airtight.”
You’ve never pulled a job like this in your life, but looking at your cousin, you figure if he was trusted to do it, you can definitely handle it.
All he asks is a 10% cut and a finder’s fee for passing the gig along. Fair enough.
